Whoa momma!

I've been a blogger slacker! We don't have a whole lot of news to report, other than I'm in love with my baby boy. He's sooo much fun! Kenia has been sick the last 2 days, so Graham and I have gotten some QT in together and it sure makes me miss being at home all day every day. It's been so much more fun than it was when I was on maternity leave...he's so curious and so excited about everything! He loves getting out and looking around at everything. When he sees me put the Baby Bjorn on, he squeals with joy because he knows that means he gets to do everything I do. Love this little man!

We're also super excited about this coming weekend because the fam is coming to town! And he's finally getting baptized! We can't wait to see Emmy and Auntie Lauren and Pops...and last but not least, Mark's great friend Josh Dack, who is coming in from Ohio. Lauren and Josh will be his godparents. SOOOO FUN!

Here are some pics from the last 2 days at home together. Of course I like to dress him up like a little man. He isn't even 5 months old yet, but those miniature clothes are too funny to resist!

you can see his blonde chia-pet-style hairdo glowing in the sunlight! AND if you look real close, you can see his bottom 2 teeth that have recently come through!!!

disclaimer on this photo: the car is NOT in motion! :) yesterday when we were out and about, we stopped through a drive-through sandwich place and ate in the PARKED car. I moved to the back seat and fed him a bottle too, but he wanted to get around and see what was going on. He's looking at some nearby cars driving by. ha!

  • Cutting his first tooth!
  • Loves Dance Party (tonight we did it for almost 30 minutes - takes after his momma)
  • Loves to grab at his toys, put them in his mouth, and slobber all over them
  • Smiles and laughs all the time - especially when he sees Kali, when his feet are kissed, or when his ears and neck are being kissed...oh, and laughs the most when he sees himself (see video a few posts below)
  • Last but not least...really starting to love his big sis Kali, and of course she loves him too!

Expressions

As Graham is entering month #4 (tomorrow!), his little personality is really coming through, along with lots of funny facial expressions....
OK, while the last statement is true, the real truth is that I have about 4 million pictures of this little dude, and I have to do something with them, so I'm sharing them with you. Sorry for the overload. :)

"oh geez!"

fish lips

"that's funny, momma (or daddy) (or Kali)!"

"really? do you really think it's funny to put me on the table to act like a centerpiece?"

"this is just embarassing"
(but mom and dad think it's really cute!!)

no words, this is his serious face when he's concentrating on his leg kicks during Dance Party

"I love putting my hands in my mouth!"
(so much, that yesterday he stuck his whole hand in his mouth, gagged himself, and then puked all over mommy...ewww)

just chillin'
("not really, mommy propped me up on a chair to pose for this picture, so I guess I'll crack a smile")

and more chillaxin'...he does a lot of that. he's a very easy-going kid...

Gotta go...I hear him fussing! (haha)

Family and Friends, that's all ya need

Finally getting back on here to post the pictures from our tour through TX for Graham to meet his family and lots of friends. The week before I went back to work, Graham and I took a road trip to see our family in San Antonio, where we then picked up Emmy (my mom) and drove to Houston to see more family and friends...and here some pics of the fun times.
(Mark has been super busy with his work, so he had to stay home and hold down the fort since we left in the middle of the week...we missed him.)

Pops giving Graham a good laugh, and all tuckered out and snoozin on sweet Emmy

Graham flirting with sweet Cathy Jean (my cousin on mom's side)

It was Uncle Roy's 92nd bday and Bebe's 86th!

(by the way, BeBe's husband was my grandfather Graham, for those of you who don't know)

Jack was here to pick up Robin to head back to New Orleans from her summer in Dallas...

Life in the Fast Lane

Wooooweeee, being a working mom is a lot of work! And I don't even have carpool duties yet! I'm going to need some tips when that time comes. But all in all, it's a pretty good balance. (Except for keeping the blog up to date! I will try to get better about this.) We have our little routine and so far it's working great. Graham seems to love his nanny, Kenia. As I get ready for work in the mornings, I hear him laughing and squealing with her. So that's a relief. Mark gets to check up on things during the day since he works out of the house, so that's a good feeling too. I also can't complain because the house is really clean when I get home every day...and I don't have to spend the weekends doing laundry...life is good!!

Speaking of Graham's laughs, here is he latest...we LOVE this sweet little personality!!! He amazes us every day with his sweet demeanor, adorable smiles, and laid back personality. SO blessed, I can't even explain it.

I have lots of other things to update on here...our road trip to San Antonio/Houston, right before I went back to work... Graham got to meet lots of family and friends that week, which I have lots of pictures of! And other new events with fun friends and lots of cute kids...and of course new pics of Graham. He will be 4 months old in 5 days!!! Time is already flying!

STAY TUNED! I will try to get back on it sooooon! XOXOXO to all!
