Big Sis

Kali has proven herself to be quite a good big sister. That is, when it's just the 4 of us (Kali included). She's still the same hyper crazy dog that everyone knows, but now when visitors are here, she's crazy-dog because she has to make sure no one is hurting him. If he starts to cry in someone else's arms, she gets anxious. Kind of annoying, yet pretty endearing.  If G is in his swing and makes a little whimper, she runs over to his side to make sure everything is okay. Then she will look back at us to make sure we know he made a noise. She also seems to have picked up her protective instincts, especially when Mark isn't home. Oh, and if you haven't noticed in some of the previous pictures, she loves to be as close as possible to the baby at all times. Awwwww.......

It's not often that I look like a human, so in this rare occasion, we took a family photo. Lauren has been here this past week, and was oh so much help...and Mark and I even got to go on a date (in between feedings). Thank you Auntie Lurch! We loved having you here!

Water Boy

Graham's umbilical cord came off, and we are able to get away from the sponge baths...which Graham wasn't so fond of. He does seem to like his tub, maybe it's because he enjoys soaking in warm water. Reminds me of what our triage nurse said when my water broke..."he'll be here soon, we just drained his hot tub!" Maybe Graham is going to be a swimmer since he seems to like the water so far?! So here are some pictures of his first bath. ...(taken last week, but I'm just getting around to getting them on here)....

gettin' naked

"hmmm, not sure how I feel about this"

"well, I guess it's alright...I can hold back my tears"

"ahhh, so fresh and so clean"

Graham's 1st Week

Graham is as healthy as can be and seems to be adjusting to life outside the womb very well. He's very laid back and easy-going...that is, until he gets hungry. :) Then he really lets us know!
It was so nice having Emmy, Pops, and Aunt Lauren here! Can't wait till they're back! (lauren will be here on Wednesday ....yesssss.)
Here are some photos from our little man's first week of life.........

Kali loves her new little brother

she went in for a giant "kiss" right after this was taken

our AC went out this week, so we got some good diaper time in

Graham Alexander Cary has arrived!!!!!!!!

Momma Cary: We are the happiest parents in the world to the sweetest, most lovable, beautiful little boy in the world!!!
Daddy Cary: Our child basically pisses excellence when he wakes up in the morning. His poop smells like roses.
OK, we are biased. But we are pretty darn happy! Graham is proving himself to be so sweet and so lovable. Here are some pictures of the last few days.......

pre-baby pic...since I have a smile on my face, this must have been taken before the epidural stopped working, but I won't get into details now. Too many fun memories to share ahead...

BABY STATUS UPDATE: We think Baby C will be making his appearance sooner than his due date! Cinco de Mayo?? If he doesn't arrive on his own, we are on the list to go into the hospital on Sunday so that I can be induced on Monday! We can't believe that we are going to meet our baby boy this week!!!!!!!!!!

NAME UPDATE: You have to wait and be surprised!!!!!! :)
