Dance Party!

Every morning, we have a fun routine......... Graham wakes up around 9, eats, gets dressed, and as soon as he's dressed he lays in his crib and kicks the side of the crib....so this is our little morning dance party that we do every day. He loves to kick those strong little legs! He's always in a great mood and he loves his morning play time. Then exactly 1 1/2 hours after he wakes up, he's ready for his morning nap. (I'm going to miss our sweet simple mornings SO much when I go back to work!)

So here is a video of part of this morning's dance party...he's starting to get more vocal, too! Usually the kicks are stronger and faster than what is on here, but you get the idea. I think he was more concentrated on singing (with the hiccups) today instead. ha ha... So fun!

Our future Frank Sinatra

"Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars..."

"Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today
I want to be a part of it New York...NEW YORK"

"I've got the world on a string,
sittin' on a rainbow
got the string around my finger
what a world, what a life,
 I'M IN LOVE!"
(with my mom)

"oh snap, I was off key on that note"

OK, I found that little 'Graham' excerpt on the Serena & Lily website talking about a baby bedding collection and I stole it. But it's oh so appropo for our future little singer. Can't you just hear him bolting out those tunes? They are all to the tune of Frank Sinatra, maybe Michael Buble...ya know, that smooth, dapper style. Just picture a little felt fedora tilted slightly just right. That's our boy.

hee hee hee....
Don't worry, I am going back to work soon (as much as I would love to do this every day!!!)

Growing Up

Graham is growing so fast!

Look, he can already play on the computer!...........

And walk!...........

And play in his Tonka truck!........

And have serious talks with dad about sleeping through the night!... (...which he's actually listening...he's doing a great job of it lately!)........

Just kidding, we are in NO rush for this baby to grow up! We are enjoying every minute of his babyhood. He brings us so much joy and love! He'll be 11 weeks old tomorrow! I can't believe it!

Bigger and Better

The G Man has new stats from his 2 month doctor appt this week:

13lbs 2 oz
24" long
40cm head circumference

Woooooweeee, he's a biggin'! 90th percentile for height AND for weight, and as healthy as can be! I can't get over how blessed we are to have this precious little guy in our lives. I know all mom's feel this way, but I feel like the luckiest person in the world. He's such a good, laid back, happy baby. I LOVE being his momma!

one of his new favorite activities...staring at himself in the mirror :)
I don't have pictures of this, but he smiles at himself and bats at his own hands...so cute to watch

and a family pic before our night out for our anniversary date...
we went to The Grape, the place where we had our first date, and then 4 years later got engaged. Here we are 3 years later with a baby!

Graham with his awesome babysitter, Robin Rouquette...
my cuz is in Dallas for the summer doing her internship at Criminal Justice Dept of Dallas, and has been so very helpful to us by watching Graham when we're out and about...thanks Robina!

Hooray for the 4th of July!

This year we spent the 4th with the Chandler family! Grilled out, the kids finally got to meet, and we went to watch the local fireworks show! Fun times!!!
For those of you who don't know, Katie is one of my best friends from high school. She has the 2 most adorable kids, Annie and Luke, and her sweet husband Eric. We love hanging out with them!

July!

July is here! One of my favorite months of the year. Here is why:

#1 The Fourth of July...such a fun holiday! I love it because it always means summer time is here, good friends are always involved, good food and drinks, pool time, fireworks, fun times...but it's not blown out of proportion like most of the other holidays. Pictures to come in the next post. We had a fun one!

#2 Our Wedding Anniversary...I've been having lots of flashbacks recently, since it was this weekend 3 years ago that we tied the knot. Pretty safe to say it was the BEST week of my life, so I think I'm going to have to pull out the pictures and may have to post a few here. Can't believe how fast these 3 years have flown, and what an amazing 3 years it's been! p.s. July 6 this year ALSO marks Graham's 2 month birthday!!

#3 July marks the half-way through the year! It's always a good time to reflect on all of the good we've had, and look forward to what the year may bring. Must say 2010 has been pretty darn good so far...some of the highlights, of course: We've been blessed with a perfectly healthy beautiful baby boy! Mark's business has taken off, and his name (Cary Design Studio) is spreading like wildfire. Once again, I think we'll have to do a separate post on that one. Hopefully with pictures to show some of the work he's done and is in the process of doing!

#4 My birthday! Well, I'm not one to get overly excited about that, but I guess it's just part of the reason I love July. My whole life, it's always been a month to get excited about. :)
However, this year, July 29 happens to fall on the exact birthday of Graham's 12 weeks of life. Which means, I have to get back to work! Booo. I don't know what I'm going to do without spending all day every day with my sweet baby boy. I'm going to miss him SO much during the day! We have found a nanny though, who I pray will be the best thing that happens to us....shoot, I might as well create another post on her! This blog is already getting too long. ha!

Anyhoo, here are some recent cute pics:

This play time is Grahams' favorite! It's so cute to watch him coo, and kick, and bat his little toys. He gets so excited! He also loves looking at himself in the mirror!
Notice how one PAW must be on the playmat, gotta always be close!

This is Graham's first day of church. We hadn't been yet until yesterday, for momma's fears of the sea of germs in the kids section of the church. But we bit the bullet and went (he gets his first round of shots this week- yow!) and he got to wear his daddy's baby shoes. Love them!
