Starting to feel a lot like a mommy!

Pediatrician interviews, baby photographer appts, weekly doctor appts, baby laundry, moving out wine glasses for baby bottles, cleaning like a mad lady (which needed to be done anyway...can't say I've ever cleaned out the AC vent slot by slot before)....all of these things are making this little baby seem more and more like he's going to be here any day now! Oh wait, he is!!! The dr. said it doesn't look like it will be this week, so please standby.

But if you can't wait, here is a sneak peak! All 7 lbs and 10 oz of him!!! (that's according to last Thursday's sonogram, and who knows how accurate those numbers are.) We really liked the fact that the dr. kept referring to everything he was looking at during the ultrasound as "perfect"! That word is really nice to hear when referencing our unborn child. :)

37.5 weeks, close-up of his face, facing us on his side... he's got some very kissable cheeks...mmmmwwwhhaaa!

Mark's 34th!

Mark birthday was last weekend, so we had a little celebration with some good friends in our backyard! Here are a few pictures from the gorgeous spring day that we got to have.

I think year #34 is going to be a good one!

Getting closer!

37 weeks along! 3 more to go! I can't believe how FAST this has gone! We are so excited and can't wait for this little man to enter the world!
We do hope he waits, though....the nursery is getting the final touches, and we of course still need to narrow down the name selection. Just a few minor things. :) We have a sonogram this week to see how big he is, since he's been measuring "large" this entire time. Can't wait to see him! I'll post pics and updates later this week!

It's fun to read about his status...it's SO amazing and such a miracle that there is a baby in my belly, that could decide he's ready at any moment, and he would be ready to enter the world. It seems like just a few weeks ago, he was the size of a grain of rice. Just blows my mind how the whole process works...and that Mark and I are about to be parents! Here is an excerpt from the internet I thought I would share:

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb.Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

What color will Baby C's hair be....a blondie Cary or brunette Rouquette? Or maybe he'll have the hint of red (not sure where I got that!)...?!?!?! I can't WAIT to find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
