Good times....in the literal version...and in the facetious version. But let me start with the literal version. Lots of things to share from the week, so read on, my friends...
Last weekend was SO FUN, as a group of 13 girlfriends went on a little road trip to Fredericksburg, TX to celebrate Kelley's last days of being a single lady! It was a fabulously fun weekend of shopping, eating at great little restaurants, hitting local wineries, and of course dancing the nights away in some famous Texas Dance Halls! And I cannot forget to mention that we stayed at the most darling little B&B called the Hoffman Haus. Definitely recommend! And definitely want to go back! Pictures to come, I hope! (I forgot my camera.)
Mark picked me up from there on Sunday, and we headed down to San Antonio, because Mitch and Judy were in town (Mark's dad and stepmom)! This year marks the 100th year since the first military flight, so the Wright B Flyer was in attendance. Since Mitch is the pilot of the replica of the very first plane that took flight, he was recognized at the event. They shipped the planes all the way down from Dayton, OH for this shindig. We didn't get to make it to the actual event, but we were able to go by and see one of the planes beforehand...AND I managed to snatch a copy of Mitch in his 1910 garb from the day! Love the pic! We had a great time catching up, the Rouquette's and the Cary's. Good times, good times!

On to the not-as-fun part of the week....on our drive back to Dallas on Monday morning, the stomach bug got a hold of me. Let me tell you how fun that is on a 5 hour drive, in the rain, at 30 weeks preggers. I'll spare you the details. Unfortunately the bug had some aftershocks (yes, I would like to compare what I had to an earthquake), but I seem to be on the mend as of today. Yahoo! BTW, the doctor seems to think that everything is fine, and it's quite normal to get sick at least one time during pregnancy. So the baby is unharmed, but I bet he just may be feeling a bit shaken up with all of the commotion in there..
Other news from the week...the nursery is coming along! Mark has been working hard on the new wood wainscot this week! It's going to look great! With all of his millwork experience and handy-man craftsmanship, this baby is going to proud in his new bedroom, and so proud of his daddy! I know I am!
And even more fun news...I can't wait for our family and friends to come into town tomorrow! We have a baby shower on Saturday and my lovely friends and family will be here for it! I couldn't be more excited!!! It's my favorite thing in the world to have our close friends and family all in one room! I will have more updates on that after the weekend!
Until then...we hope you are getting the hints of spring like we are here today! It's going to be a gorgeous season, I can tell already!
