Here is Kali watching her favorite US team on TV today, just wishing that they could make skis for dogs.

Baby Daddy Rocks!
Since Mark didn't have enough fun last weekend playing in the trees, he is now in the neighbor's trees cutting down their broken tree limbs. The neighbor's aren't quite as agile as they once were, so my sweet Marky offered to give them a hand. I married such a good man!
I wish I had more updates, but well, our lives just aren't that exciting. YET. Only about 77 more days until our lives turn upside down! Sooo excited!
Until then, you can find me baking homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (today's craving) and getting this kid's room set up! Our project is officially beginning today. Progress pics to come!

28 weeks along (+ a few days)
Here is an update how the baby's growing (even though we all know he's already much bigger than what the internet says!):
By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

Winter Wonderland!!!(?)
Thursday this week, Dallas had a record-breaking snowfall...12.5" in a 24 hour period! What fun! We aren't used to that in Dallas! It's was so exciting to wake up to white-covered grounds and that chill of fresh snow. Kali has had the time of her life, playing in the snow, trying to catch snowballs that Mark throws for her (and can't figure out where they go when they land), and just frolicking through the white fluffy coldness. Too fun! Here are some pictures of the fun day!
And then the aftermath...we are learning the joys of home ownership in the winter. Power outages and big broken tree limbs! I guess our Dallas Oak Trees just can't handle the weight of all of that snow! So Mark is enjoying the Saturday with power tools and tree climbing...every boy's dream, right?!

He's not gonna be a small Cary
3 lbs, 2 oz...and counting! And that's only at 27 1/2 weeks! According to babycenter.com, the baby should be almost 2 lbs this week! Yikes! But that's okay...we are happy that he's growing and healthy! Here is a pic of his chubby little face (the profile)...don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks already?! We already love him to pieces!
And while we're at it, this is what he looks like from the outside!

It's a boy!
As many of you know, we went to the doctor 3 weeks before Christmas to find out the gender of our baby. So that we could have a little surprise, we told him to put the results in an envelope so that we could open on Christmas morning! Here are some pics of the happy day...video to come (as soon as Lauren sends it to me)...
And speaking of Lauren...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 30 is gonna be a good year!
