Tis the Season

And we are JOLLY! We've had such a fun week, all starting out with Graham's first Christmas! Mom and Lauren came to Dallas this year, and we had so much fun! Graham loved the excitement of all of us on his floor at one time, paper everywhere, and new toys and clothes and books and more paper everywhere he turned. It was a fun morning, and he took a good long nap when we were done. Since he loves to pull up on everything, we got him a little stand-up noise-making table (b/c we need more noise in the house)...and the second he tried it out, he was already dancing! (anyone surprised? hee hee) See pics below, including the video of his little dance moves, of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning pics.

With 2 extras in the house, we got to take full advantage of Wii Rock Band...and put the new Beatles version Lauren got Mark for Christmas to use. Ha ha ha!!

We also finally got out Graham's high chair. He's been using the Bumbo until then (in an effort for less clutter in the kitchen), and we realized how much he loves being in his high chair, socializing with everyone at the same height as the table, eating all kinds of new little finger foods, and getting to use the SEVEN teeth that he now has! It's been so cute to watch him figure out how to get things in his mouth, he's getting better at it every day. Kali loves this new thing in the kitchen too. :)

Let's see...other than that, we are having a relaxing fun week (I've had the week off from work), and we can't wait to make it up to Ohio in February to see the Cary side of the fam!

Just one more day left of 2010! What a year it's been! Can't wait to see what next year holds!

Drunk Santa!

So here is Graham's first experience with Santa. We thought this deserved it's own post.

really Santa? can you go one night without hitting the bottle?
I guess this is what happens in small-town Texas, we do think it's pretty funny though.

we'll use this one for the scrapbooks!

A Concan Thanksgiving

We just got back from a great trip to the Hill Country. We spent Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the fam this year at Bobby's house(s) in Concan, TX along with BeBe, Sandie, Cheryl & Glenn, Annalynn & Carl and their sweet boys Alexander and Ryan, and of course, Mom, Mark, Graham, and me. (Lauren had to stay in CA for work.) Oh, and Kali and her 6 dog cousins.

Concan is a beautiful little town right on the Frio River...absolutely gorgeous, especially this time of year. Oh how I love our state of Texas.

The setting...

over with worry and question of why in the heck she is getting up there, but look at the smile on Kali's face!

Heading home after a fun long weekend...

all packed up and ready to go!

On the Loose

We have a crawler! Graham is on the move!! Here is a video of him from last week...right before we left for Concan. So these are his first moves...trying to figure it all out. (TRYING TO UPLOAD - I THINK THE VIDEO FILE MAY BE TOO LARGE, WILL TRY AGAIN LATER.) He's already a pro, quickly moving from one side of the room to the other. Our days as we've known them are OOOOVER! (I think they were over about 6 months ago...hee hee)

Before we know it, he will be walking. Today, he has pulled himself up from a sitting position to a standing position using our pant legs. Is it supposed to be happening this fast??

In the meantime of the video uploading, here is a picture of Graham and Kali discussing the issue of how we can't just leave him on the floor anymore for Kali to babysit!

Life Lessons?

Something in bones prevents me from being early to anything! Almost missed my flight for no reason at all.

Obviously not the first time this kind if thing has happened, if you notice the side bar. Life is all about learning...wonder when I will learn!!!

1/2 year old!

Graham is 6 months old, it's so hard to believe! TIME FLIES, and here are his latest stats, tricks, and pics:
-17 lbs 10 oz (55th percentile)
-27" long (85th percentile)
-sitting up and eating baby food (you already know that, though)
-wants to crawl really bad (and gets mad when he can't)
-arches his back and tries to get out of any contraints he's in (i.e. swing, car seat, etc)
-pulls up on the side of his crib almost to a standing position (oh lord!)
-jumps like a crazy kid in his jumperoo, and loves being on his feet (as opposed to his knees or his booty)
(this all tells me he's gonna be on the MOVE once he figures it out)
-reaches, grabs, pulls, and wants to get his hands on anything and everything, preferably to end up in his mouth (I'm really into parentheses today)
-continues to be loving, easy-going, and a bundle of joy that we love soooo much! (:))
